Staff at BBDC participate in many of the Harvard Chamber of Commerce events, promoting the city of Harvard and strengthening community ties.
Harvard Milk Days
BBDC Staff have volunteered at Harvard Milk Days for many years. You can find us assisting guests with parking throughout the event. This is our largest fundraiser of the year!
Harvard Community Unit School District #50
As a Center serving school age-children, we partner with the school district to coordinate transportation to and from school, provide homework assistance, and continue working toward goals identified in a students Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Illinois Master Gardeners
BBDC partners with the Master Gardeners to provide age-appropriate agricultural education to our students.
J's Lanes
Located less than a half mile from BBDC, J's Lanes has provided BBDC with a special rate for in-town field trips.
National Alliance on Mental Illness
In 2022, Brown Bear Daycare & Learning Center partnered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to provide staff with information related to mental illness and suicide intervention training.
Northern Illinois Food Bank
BBDC has partnered with the Northern Illinois Food Bank for 20 years,
This partnership enables BBDC to provide a greater quantity of healthy and nutritious food to your child. In addition, BBDC sponsors a drive through food pantry throughout the year for the community.
