Teaching Strategies is the curriculum most widely used for infants through kindergarten aged children. This curriculum is a comprehensive, research-based system, through which we can monitor and track your child's developmental progress. We apply the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos, the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, and the Creative Curriculum for Kindergarten.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

If your school-aged child has been assigned an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) from the school district, BBDC will coordinate with your child's teachers to support progress in the IEP.

Ages & Stages Questionnaires

Ages & Stages Questionnaires are each designed for children of a certain age range. Staff at BBDC will provide you with the questionnaire specific to your child's age and development for you to fill out. Screening results are discussed with parents during twice yearly Parent Teacher conferences. Additional resources may be provided to you as necessary to help you support your child.

Baby TALK Family Engagement Model

BBDC participates in the Illinois State Board of Educations Prevention Initiative Program. This program helps to identify children who may be underprepared for the transition to school or at risk for developmental delays. All new children ages birth to five years of age are automatically screened at enrollment. Participation is voluntary. The program is entirely free and includes home visits and health, vision, and hearing screenings.
